Battzi

Battzi Todah to Chabad. I am learning by studying via Chabad and I am seriously thinking about attending shul at Chabad in Richmond, VA. I am a Conservadox Jew and a Black American. I have nothing but great respect and deep love for Chabad.

Chabad

Chabad "When Rivka passed by an idolatrous temple, Eissav struggled within her womb because he wanted to destroy it, not worship in it. All people are innately good." - Reb Menachem Mendel of Kotzk

Yet, in today's world, people do not live in small groups or villages with limited exposure to other people, events, and stimuli. In such an information-intensive world, people are often quick to rely on patterns of thought and reductive thinking (reification) that condemn without understanding complexity. We all recognize Hitler's evil but I ... Read Morewonder if there have been many studies into what changes might have prevented him from becoming "Hitler." It is easy to place the horrors of the world upon a person but I think we acheive more when the horrors of the world are prevented because people create an environment where goodness nurtures goodness, obviating any need for scapegoating. Forgive me if this is too idealistic a notion.

Isn't the perspective of Good and Evil what got us here in the first place? This is using the Tree at the center of the garden, not as the Tree of Life but as the tree of Good and Evil. But these are the very same tree, used differently. One, knows the flow is one process of Gd's presence coming down on earth, the other is a battle of being, where what was one is now dichotomized as two battling forces. If Eve had not listened to the snake, our evolutionary capacity to use the Tree as the Tree of Life would have been complete. The garden is our mind, and the tree are the ten intelligences of Gd within it. They are the Emanations known as the diagram of the Kabbalah itself.

The power of the snake to dupe eve is the anomaly.
It still happens everyday when the reptilian brain hijacks the amygdala, the mammalian brain, immobilizing our Cortex, immobilizing our Adam brain. The choice had an indelible mark in our evolution. That is why it is recorded in the Torah. It is the history of our journey out of it. It happens when we choose to listen to immediate fears of survival instead of actions that produces long-term good. This is what makes what we call evil. It is good misplaced.

The Yetzer Hara can gain access to the Adam in us through our Eve, our feminine, the receiving end of our mind. That is why anomalies like Hitler happen. When fear took charge of him he twisted the works of Carl Jung, looked at the color of his skin and called himself Aryan, the superior race. He used the Buddhist swastika, an Aryan symbol as his. This is all fear, fear of his own damnation. For that there are those who are Chosen by Gd and he is not among them. He fears his own unworthiness. For he senses within himself the capacity to be better and fought his demons externally instead of internally. He reminds of Jack the Pumpkin King in the Night Before Christmas. He saw Gd's light but misunderstood, for he was not equipped to understand it. His paradigm was flawed. His campaign to bring heaven to earth transformed Gd's light into a nightmare. He did not see that he too is a child of the Gd of Jews. For there is only one Gd and One Gd made all things.

The irony is, the Vedic Aryans, descendants of the fair-skinned Brahmins, are most likely the descendants of Abraham. (BRHM) The true Aryan race Infact became the victim of their own legends.

This is the struggle that the choice man made. Divine by design but with an anomalous program, that's why we cannot automate choices, we have to choose mindfully to listen to altruistic virtues in the hopes that the mind will evolve in that direction, towards the Prefrontal cortex, the program set to see the divine in all, helping us gain eternal life as humans.

It is the choice every man must habitually take to correct the choice we made, thousands of years ago in the evolutionary tree. We ate from the fruit of fear, it became part of us, now we have to work towards trust. Trust that all is one, the good, the bad,and the spaces in between. All of it is of Gd.
