He didn't know the names, nationalities or faiths of the people he saw pulled from the rubble of the United Nations headquarters, but Les Maloney said a prayer for them just the same.

The Christian Chronicle Army Lt. Col Les D. Maloney, a chaplain and Church of Christ member, is among those ministering to the victims of the Fort Hood shooting rampage. Here is what he told us tonight in a brief e-mail: "I responded to the tragedy this afternoon at approx 1:45 by reporting to the Fort Hood hospital Emergency Room with other chaplains. I then spent the rest of this evening in the ICU ministering to the victims. (more)
