The seam on the new magnet is quite a bit smaller than what we were dealing with before. This one can be cleaned up with a few passes of an abrasive sponge (we had to clean the other one with a carbide trimming blade and a sponge!).

I am really hoping my math works out on this one - our neodymium magnet has less than a 16th of an inch clearance. I guess you could say that I am slowly building up my tolerance level :)
