Robert Smith? (the question mark is part of his name), a professor at the University of Ottawa, gained some media attention this summer for a mathematical modeling paper on who would win a human vs. zombie battle.
After being featured on NPR, the BBC and other news outlets, Smith? will... find himself in Potsdam tomorrow Friday, October 2, to present his scientific paper in a seminar titled " When Zombies Attack!: Mathematical modeling of an outbreak of zombie infection."
His 4 p.m. presentation in Bertrand H. Snell Hall Room 213 is open to the public and news media.Read More

Clarkson University will host renowned Nobel Laureate Richard R. Schrock for the 15th Annual Shipley Distinguished Lectureship, October 5 and 6. Schrock is the Frederick G. Keyes Professor of Chemistry at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Schrock will speak about "How Basic Research Led to a Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 2005" and "Catalytic Reduction of Dinitrogen by Molybdenum."
