Coast Explorer Magazine Join thousands of volunteers Saturday, September 19, as they spend
three hours picking up litter over 360 miles of Oregon beaches during SOLV's Great Oregon Fall Beach Clean-up. Last
year, more than 3700 volunteers for SOLV disposed of approximately
40,000 pounds of debris left at over 40 sites along the coast. Follow the provided link for information on meeting locations.

Over 3,700 volunteers showed up on Sept. 19 and picked up approximately 54,460 pounds of trash that had accumulated on Oregon's 362 miles of beaches since last spring! Thank you for making the Oregon coast even MORE beautiful!

Coast Explorer Magazine An injured tufted puffin, discovered by a young girl on a visit to Cannon Beach eight weeks ago, was rehabilitated at the Wildlife Center of the North Coast and with the help of the Haystack Rock Awareness Program and with permission from US Fish and Wildlife, the puffin was released successfully today at Haystack Rock. Aren't we lucky to have options? A small town parade, a peaceful beach with puffins and other seabirds a barbecue with friends. And only seven miles away a bigger parade with marching bands and the excitement of a big fireworks display and thousands of visitors. The Northwest coast has it all!
