                David Andrew Petty

David Andrew Petty Does anyone know if the parlour car's movie theater is working again or will be as of June 25th? Last couple time's I've rode first class it has been used as a stock room - which is a shame as it's a great way to pass the time for first classers.

                  • Coast Starlight Communities Network The theatre should be used on every trip and never as a stock room. We suggest contacting Amtrak to report what you've experienced in the past - you paid for a service that wasn't provided. Please keep us updated!

Elson Trinidad Just read the White Paper. I'd like to see bicycle racks on Coast Starlight/Daylight cars. If I could bring my bike aboard the train beyond San Luis Obispo, I'd take the Coast Starlight/Daylight to the Bay Area, Portland or Seattle instead of driving or flying!

                  • Julie Flaming Hi, Noe! You missed an AWESOME day. Union station was totally packed because SP4449 was there and letting people see the engine controls, as well as walk through a bunch of cars for one of ORHF's other historical trains. There were also a bunch of booths by everyone from model railroaders to Talgo and ODOT. I met folks from AORTA and All Aboard Washington and talked to one of two of the historical buffs too. A good, good day.... which is still going on until 4, I think.

                  • Patricia Ann Estrada Had a great day at Union Station. Even more fans than the first National Train Day in 2008. Only down side for us today was the unbelievably long line for the Amtrak equipment tour. We never got to the trains...a disappointment. But overall it was a fun day.
