Richard Weissman

Richard Weissman Behaviorists for Social Responsibility: Collapse presents
a believable descriptive analysis of how peak oil defines the current
infrastructurally-determining selection metacontingency of our species,
societies, and cultures. It suggests underlying motivational operations
for the current rash of conspiracy-theory fears and ...evidence: NWO
agenda, Bush (2nd term)-Obama's acquiesent support thereof, and the War
on Jews as explained by Eugene Narrett. The movie has been criticized
for being weak on solutions (start growing food locally
(infrastructure), stick to families(structure), ideologically reject
centuries old solutions (Nanny G0d motivated by prayerful
demonstrations of gratitude or submission, capitalism, communism, socialism) based on
assumptions of an endless energy resources. Rather we should adapt to
our most-evidenced prediction: an inevitably-impending series of
infrastructural collapses(superstructure). To avoid a return to the
stone ages over the next 35 years, I would recommend setting up
microwave transmission of solar energy fromspace stations (an
infrastructural solution promoted by Howard Bloom that the movie
neglects to identify). Another reasonable intervention is to supplement
the movie's local food-growing recommendation with the Walden Two
structural socio-cultural system based on a natural science of
behavior(as an alternative to capitalism, socialism, communism, and a
return to the mom and pop storefront). These are modern, newly-emerged
solutions but Skinner predicted we will fail to respond in ways
sufficientlydifferent from what has been reinforced in the past to
survive in aworld that is so different from that past.

Over the long haul, behaviorists can not continue to sell out their
discipline believing they will be able to continue living off the fat
of government-subsidized parents of children with autism. A basic
science of behavior has been all but culturally extinguished already.
Finally, I believe that anti-dis-semitic New World Order truthers
and Jewish-Zionist conservatives of the world should unite in servicing
the research-activist agenda of cultural and species survival. Creating
something like a Society for Databased Survival (SDS) page on facebook
might not be a bad place to start.

For much of his career, B. F. Skinner displayed the optimism that is often attributed to behaviorists. With time, however, he became less and less sanguine about the power of behavior science to solve the major problems facing humanity. ...

Jason Hey Mike, not sure if you're familiar with this guy...the name's Jeff Rubin, former chief economist for CIBC. He recently 'defected' to the peak oil camp and quit CIBC. Interesting article...Enjoy!

Food and energy are intertwined at many levels, not the least of which starts right at the production stage. Behind the green facade of the farm gate lies one of the most energy-intensive industries in the world. ...

Michael C. Ruppert You gotta love Ron Paul. He was in my video "Truth and Lies of 9-11". He's a decent WYSIWYG guy and he just tells it like it is. I've met him more than once and have the greatest respect for him. I just wish he understood energy issues as well as he gets everything else.

How does a massive, costly security apparatus fail to stop a known terrorism threat from boarding an airplane and wrecking devastation?

I have to say that Ron Paul also doesn't seem to get Climate Change either, but I think he is a straight guy and could be persuaded on both energy and climate issues with evidence

Hossein Thoughts?

"Biomethane has avoided the food for fuels controversy associated withethanol from corn and biodiesel from soy and palm oil. Biomethane isnormally processed from waste. Biomethane has over four times theenergy production than corn ethanol from an acre of land."

Sweden has been an early leader in using biomethane. Over half of their natural gas for transportation vehicles such as buses and cars comes from biomethane sources such as municipal waste and agricultural waste. Biomethane is part of Sweden’s strategy to be petroleum free.

I know what you mean Lisa. Looks a little overboard on the high tech expense, and a bit short on natural wisdom. Of course up there, enclosing the whole thing in a greenhouse might help with weather variations. But multi story platforms seems a bit excessive unless you are in a hostile environment like outer space. I think they should incorporate ... See Morethe pest repelling features of companion planting and poly-crop a little more. I liked the Arcosanti plan of having everything within walking distance in their city of the future. This guy still seems to be thinking like the new/old school. Aquaponics is another up and coming technology that is showing promise.
