Members of the MilVets student organization attended a breakfast hosted by Mayor Michael Bloomberg, then rode in the GS float in the parade. Dean Peter Awn was one of several speakers offering brief remarks before the parade began.

Why don't we have a General Studies Talent Show? We have so many performers and interesting students. There are comedians, dancers, burlesque performers, dancing/rollerskating/burlesque innovator/comic genius (only one that I know of), musicians, fire breathers and actors. Who knows what other hidden magic lurks. How... do I set this up?
