It is all the talk, so we wanted to give you some good info on the latest flu virus. H1N1, the flu commonly known as Swine Flu, is a flu that normally only affects pigs. The virus that causes this flu has mutated and is now capable of infecting humans. H1N1 is a particularly interesting flu because while it does have g...enes that come from pigs, it also has genes that come from birds and humans. Although most of the people who become infected with the virus do not require medical attention, it has been declared a pandemic due to its’ rapid spread around the globe. Being declared a pandemic does not necessarily mean that the virus is becoming more harmful or is going to cause more deaths, it simply is a statement about the geographical spread of the disease. This video explains how a flu virus invades your body and does so using incredible scientific animations created by a company right here in Rocky Hill, Connecticut! http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story .php?storyId=114075029Read More

When you get the flu, viruses turn your cells into tiny virus factories that help spread the disease. This animation takes you to the front lines of a viral assault that could be going on inside your body right now.
