Evan I believe it actually is intended. I think it's great. It's good to examine one's life, one's beliefs and one's choices and weed out negative beliefs left over from childhood, damaging beliefs about one's future, left over garbage about one's victim-identity. It's hard, yes. However, it's the only way to take responsibility for one's choices ... See Moreeven as to the choice of what you think and believe and feel.

The beautiful and empowering part is that once you identify the thoughts or beliefs that are making you poor, sick, angry, friendless or whatever - you have all the power in the world to change the beliefs to ones which will make you rich, happy, healthy, fulfilled, with great relationships. Changing one's belief system from a poverty complex to one of abundance and prosperity doesn't happen over night, but it can easily happen over a lifetime.

As "conscious livelihood" said, LOA is only one of the spiritual laws at work. If the others are out of balance the whole system is out of balance and LOA won't be as effective in certain areas. The idea is to find the lack of balance and correct it in ones-self.
