Car crashes are a leading cause of death for teen drivers, but a new program aims to help improve their skills behind the wheel. It's offered to the young and young at heart and can present dangerous road situations in the safe environment of a doctor's office.

Covenant Children's Hospital is hosting Lubbock's second annual Compassionate Friends remembrance on Sunday, December 13th. If you or a loved one has experienced the loss of a child, please participate in this healing evening of honoring each child that is loved so very much.
The Compassionate Friends Worldwide Candle ...Lighting®, held annually the second Sunday in December, unites family and friends around the globe as we light candles for one hour to honor and remember children who have died at any age from any cause. As candles are lit at 7 p.m. local time, creating a virtual wave of light, hundreds of thousands of persons commemorate and honor the memories of children in a way that transcends all ethnic, cultural, religious, and political boundaries. Now believed to be the largest mass candle lighting on the globe, the Worldwide Candle Lighting, creates a virtual 24-hour wave of light as it moves from time zone to time zone.
Highlights: Gathering and prayer 6:30 PM. Candle lighting 7:00 PM. Poem/letter to child 7:10 PM. Floating candle release/song 7:15 PM.
Bring: Please dress warmly as the event is outside! Email a picture of your child to leamanc@covhs.org to include them in a slide show remembrance.
Special Events (before): Refreshments will be served, along with hot drinks and punch. Each participant will need to register upon arrival.
Special Events (after): Time for conversation and reflection.
