I'll find cremation a lot more acceptable when you can explain it to young children in an appropriate manor. We scold them, warn them and frighten them from going near a fireplace, campfire or stove...yet stumble when we have to explain how we got "Grandma" into that little box...think about it. Sometimes the concept of burial is more peaceful, and a great deal easier to explain.

I don't see how direct cremation is inconsiderate to those left behind. Cremation does not prevent families from having a funeral or any other memorial event that they deem appropriate. It doesn't prevent the use of a casket or cemetary plot, it just makes those things optional.

Valerie Saxer

Valerie Saxer PRESS RELEASE STARDUST ART is an original, artistic way to memorialize your departed loved one or beloved pet. Longtime artist, Valerie Saxer, has designed a vibrant collection of giclee paintings that she respectfully enhances with a small portion of cremains, providing an extraordinary visual reminder of your loved o...ne for your home. The collection is offered on medium weight canvas, in eight color combinations and three sizes, completely personalized for you. Each piece is framed.A new addition to the line is “memorial photo enhancements”. Keepsake art will be created onto medium weight canvas by reproducing a cherished 3 by 5 photo and then enhancing it with a tiny portion of your loved one’s cremains.Another option for families wishing to honor their pets, is a canvas enhanced with “paw prints” of our earth friendly compound and a small amount of cremains.Valerie Saxer is a former nurse and currently a hospice volunteer and artist. She is working with the funeral industry nationwide and is a member of C.A.N.A. We strive to be as earth-friendly as possible, and use “green” or environmentally friendly products. Perhaps they are not stars, but rather the stardust in the heavens, shimmering to let us know they are still with us. Please visit www.stardustart.net to see how the artwork is created or further information on ordering. Custom sizes are also available. STARDUST ART L.L.C.
