George Can you please ban Joshua Goldberg, Criterion? He is an insulting imdb freak plus agitated about everything. I am thinking of starting a Facebook group for that purpose!

Justin Pribyl

Justin Pribyl Don't Move by Sergio Castellioni would be a good pick. An amazing performance by Penelope Cruz and Sergio Castellioni. They won for Best Actor and Actress at the Italian Film Awards.

Adam While the Walt Disney Company is unlikely to license any of its animation properties, I think that a deluxe DVD of “Song of the South” would be catnip for you guys to work on for us fans. Despite its despicable racism—a product of the times during which it was made—this otherwise delightful film is languishing in the D...isney vaults and probably won’t otherwise see the light of day ever again. Pretending that something doesn’t exist doesn’t negate the fact that it was made, and it should be regarded as an accomplishment regardless. What do you think? Thanks for reading. Peace.

It's not racist or even offensive. Over the years, SotS has had this reputation build up, but Gone with the Wind is The Birth of a Nation compared to this film. Disney wouldn't get a single complaint over a DVD release. They did get away with releasing a DVD with Mickey Mouse performing in Uncle Tom's Cabin, after all.

It IS racist because no Black person during that period (both of the setting and of the period it was made) should be that happy. There are better analyses of this in academic readings and on IMDb. Peace.

Robin Grahm

Robin Grahm Hi Criterion! Since you are quite fond of Wes Andersons films, how big (percentige-wise or other) is the chance of you picking up Fantastic Mr. Fox? And thus making it your first animation title... :)

I've actually been dying to see this film, or get a hold of it, to see if I could watch it from begining to end in one sitting. I watched all the other longest films, but this one is the white whale fro me. From hell's heart I put thee in my DVD player.

Also more recommendations: Horse Thief, A Borrowed Life, and Crash (1997 version).
