Curtis Institute of Music Want to apply to Curtis? Applications are due December 11. All the information you need is on the website: http://www.curtis.edu/html/30000.shtml. And remember, there are no age limits so even if you're 7 or 102, you can apply!

For many years Curtis did have an age limit, but we did away with that restriction a few years ago (granted, we don't actually get many applications from 7 or 102-year-olds). But I did forget to mention one restriction that is still in place....you do have to be able to play an instrument or sing :)

Honestly, I did not know that Curtis had lifted the age restriction; and I am not the only one, this is amazing news. Thanks.

I adore Thomas Hampson, good singer and so handsome as well. Too bad master classes are only for students as an audience would've also loved to see this

Normally our master classes are closed, but this one was actually open to the public! There was an earlier post on the facebook wall about it. I was there, and it was fascinating. Of course, the singing part was only for students...thankfully.

Curtis Institute of Music There was a wonderful story about Curtis faculty member Eleanor Sokoloff in Sunday's Inquirer

www.philly.com
Perched on the edge of a rocking chair with a score opened before her, Eleanor Sokoloff looks up into the air and shakes her head in time to the music.
