The Centers for Disease Control reports that H1N1 may be contracted from a flat surface such as counter top or book for up to 8 hours. The good news for patrons is that it takes about 24 hours to process and re-shelve materials that have been returned to the library. ...

Downers Grove Public Library Visitors to the Art Institute of Chicago have the chance to experience Caravaggio's spectacular painting The Supper at Emmaus (1601) on loan from The National Gallery in London. Art historian Dr. Michelle Paluch-Mishur will highlight this work and many others by the Italian Baroque master. She will discuss Caravaggio's exciting life as well as the important contributions he made to Baroque art.
