Vicky Betancourt I am physically disabled and suffering from P.T.S.D. caused by Domestic Abuse thanks to my husband. The abuse is so bad I have lost my idenity. I don't know how to get it back. we must be more vigilant that ever in these tough times, that those with disabilities are not treated inhumanly...and it is only by the spirit of love in all its strength this will be overcome... man has always been willing to call the life of some,,, less than dignified in how they are treated.

I think that there should be a requirement to have video cameras in special need classrooms to prevent this from ever happening again. Districts should also consider having all aides go through periodic psychological assessment in addition to training.

Anna, I think that is a great idea. And every classroom should be as open as any regular education classroom. Transparency, cause once that door shuts...trouble begins.
