With all due respect, Jo Ann, perhaps a few but not many. It is not possible for my brother and the rest of Congress to please every constituent. You are certainly entitled to your opinion however Dan's heart is in the right place including the future of his constituent's children and the next generation as well as his own kids and grandkids. The simple fact is that there will not be a health care legislation that will appease everyone. Let's see what the Senate will now do.

A good politician is hard to find these days. I really admire Dan for listening to the people he represents and communicating with his constituents. I am so surprised by comments like "liar" -he is doing his job. Thank God.

I applaud Dan for doing what most politicians won't do--show the people he represents the bill. I don't know how anyone can consider someone who lays bare what is being voted on (making it "transparent") a liar. He's not lying and he's not hiding behind rhetoric or excuses or fancy phrases. He is doing what he was elected to do, representing and informing the people of his district. Way to Go Dan! Keep up the great work!

Marta, you do realize that Medicare is for people 65 and older? And, you do realize that Medicaid is for people who have low income? Congressman Lungren and his family are under 65 and not low in income. So, they don't qualify for Medicare/Medicaid. Do you qualify? If so, go to www.cms.gov.

Marta- The only Partisan Dan has is to be partisan with the People of America and to do what is best for us. What is up with you and his family? he did not put the clause of Congress being exempt from this bill, he is against this bill for MANY reasons just like the 40,000+ Tea Partiers that came to DC today and the millions of pink slips that have been pouring into DC to remove politicians that do not have "We the People" as top priority.

It is obvious that you have done none of the above or you would see that Dan is one of the few representatives that is going the extra mile to make all 1990 pgs of this preposterously expensive and danger bill... He is not the one who prints out a bill of this magnitude and then is trying to ram it through to a vote before anyone could possibly read and react responsibly to--that is a left side of the aisle tactic.
Also, you obviously not only do not know Dan's family you have once again made no attempt to research your facts. I happen to know his sister in law and she is not only NOT on medicare she works tirelessly in an extremely demanding job and is quite able to buy her own insurance. Not to mention she is not nearly old enough to collect medicare. Dan's brother is a contractor, hardly a government dole position who also works extremely hard to provide for his family.
This family in whole are some of the most outstanding, honest and respectable people you could ever meet. They represent all that is good in America and we all should be on our knees thanking God that we still have people like that willing to represent our voices and the truth in America!
When you have facts and can discuss them in an informed matter I would be glad to discuss issues but on this as in many other posts you obviously are doing more than echoing rhetoric from a holey bucket that just doesn't hold water.

Another is influence peddling. Who benefits from the money? The union? Are they more willing to support Dan than if he just let the money go? I just saying...

Finally. It is not a matter of being cheap, but rather funding local law enforcement is a local issue. If we believe that in Sacramento we REALY have a need for more law enforcement then we should tax ourselves accordingly. It is slavery to force people in Wyoming to pay for our cops.
