With this bill, many veterans' needs that have long been overlooked will finally be addressed. Dan, you could do lots more for the veterans if elected senator. I hope everyone will give you a second look before voting in the primary in May. To me, there's only one that's qualified and that is you so "Go Dan Go".

What are you in support of today, more oppression or a new beginning of freedom? I guess we do ultimately all have to all try to make that decission, don't we? They say that some gave their lives for freedom, but now I don't know if we, any of us, really understand what freedom is about any more or not? What is freedom? What is the freedom of choice, and what is honesty and mutual support? Guess those are questions to be answered later on, can any of you answer them now?

Daniel,
There is a topic near and dear to my heart and I have shared this with you before...Hopefully, whomever manages this page will remind you of this topic. Kentucky is one of only 13 states that has no established rights for employees. Even though McConnel and his labor secretary wife under Bush could have made this a model state for ... See Moreemployees they chose to ignore the needs of those who work to make Kentucky a better place to live and work. I hope that you make a statement and commitment that if elected, you will work with our state leaders to pass laws that protect employees from being fired for no reason. As it stands now, a single mother can be busting her butt at a local store, fast food place or supermarket and if there are no personnel policies then she can be fired for no reason so heaven forbid she make waves or make someone mad. We must address this issue for those who won't or can't stand up to strong armed employers. To make Kentucky stronger, we must strengthen the body of employees. Who would want to work in a state that has no legal rights for employees. I have helped many people with this issue and unfortuantely their choices are limited even if they did no wrong. As always, good luck and let's take that Senate Seat!

Not sure health care will fill the bill it will be devisive, why not work on the economy and the environment as issues, or just the economy? That would gather more people for him I do believe since that is what everyone for the most part is worried about and I believe that he really cares. Just my thoughts.

Daniel Mongiardo Everyone tune in tonight at 10/9 central to CurrentTV for "The OxyContin Express," an in-depth look at the prescription pill trafficking and abuse that is plaguing our Commonwealth. It was an honor to be included in this film that will hopefully encourage more people to take action in combatting this unfortunate problem affecting Kentucky.

This won't let me look at this link again, it keeps closing, that must be my computer messing up even though my computer does better than the local community college ones. Which is another point investing in community colleges and vocational schools to see that they can do well. I am proud of you Dan for trying to focus on the real problems. The comments on there were reasonable. This is such a difficult problem to deal with.

In my very humble opinion that is what is wrong wth health care mandates, because then we make room for the corruption of doctors coercing and forcing more so called medications or treatments on people that don't even want them, mind altering drugs being just one of them.

It is already a big enough problem, really. But this my friend, I for one will promise to do my best to walk with you to change this, and if you are afraid I will try to give you whatever support I can, and when I am afraid I hope that you will me too. As you know sometimes I do get afraid while trying to change things, but I think my heart is mostly in the right place, I hope that you do too.... See More

Being realistic some people might need some psychotropics, some pain pills for their pain so that they can do what they need to do, that is unfortunate, but true. And the abuse of them makes it so that those that really need them can't get what they need as they need it. These drugs are so addicting that even well meaning people can become addicted to them. However, I do believe that there may be some "limited" uses for them, not all that use them are bad people. Many people do, and many are really good people. I choose not to, I would rather use my Ibuprofen if I have to. Those have side effects too so I try not to use them any more than I have to. I think some have been really misled over time.

I do have to say that the only one that can prescribe most of these drugs is a doctor and I am certainly glad that people are waking up and seeing the problem for what it is. Prescription drugs have been a problem as far back as I can remember, but how far are we willing to let the medical and drug companies go? That is the first thing to look at in my humble opinion. When we make that our legal economic system then there are a few that prosper in such a free, and easy, and legal way, but do they really when they consider that they have to pay for it all in the long run? Either with their conscience, their souls, or their dollars. I don't think so.

Did I forget to say that these are the questions that the Hunger Strike asked, and that there is no valid, reliable, nor conclusive answers to any of them. Mickey was right, I didn't go to California to participate in this strike, I did what I did over the net, just like I am right here. Those who I worked with on this we did that right here on this net. And, these are not the original questions, they have been modified over time and others have helped in this too. I never meant to leave any of them out, they are and were all very vitally important to me.

1. Evidence that Clearly Establishes the validity of "schizophrenia" "depression" or other "major mental Illnesses" as biologically-based brain diseases.

2. Evidence for A Physical Diagnostic Exam such as a scan or test of the brain, blood, urine, genes, etc that can reliably distinguish individuals with these diagnoses (prior to treatment with psychiatric drugs), from individuals without these diagnoses.... See More

3. Evidence for a Base-line Standard of a "normal" personality, against which any real and actual "imbalance" or abnormality can be measured and corrected by most or many of these medical means.

4. Evidence that Any Psychotropic Drug can correct any "chemical imbalance" attributed to a psychiatric diagnoses or that any other treatment has actually decreased the problems and not increased them, and that any psychotropic drug is any thing more than a non-specific alterer of physiology.

5. Evidence that Any Psychotropic Drug can reliably decrease the likelihood of violence or suicide.

6. Evidence that Psychotropic Drugs do not in fact increase the overall likelihood of violence and suicide. We know that they do, they have to have a black box warning now.

Daniel Mongiardo Do you have a story about healthcare to share? All over the country people are telling their personal healthcare stories, but I want to hear from you - my fellow Kentuckians. Why is healthcare reform important to you? Send in your story by either following the link below to my website or sending an email to mystory@...drdan2010.com. With your permission, we'll use your story to help illustrate the importance of fixing a broken system that costs too much, covers too few, and is inconsistent in quality.

Health care is and should be a #1 concern for the people of this country. For too many years Insurance Companies have had to big a control on our lives. They tell us what physician to see, what hosp. to go to, which test we can have and where to have them . And then people say that they don't want the government to tell them what they can do!!! ... See MoreInsurance companies are the biggest and the wealthiest lobbiest in Washington,D.C. They are spending more money trying to stop the Government in it's attempts to help the people of the US obtain healthcare than anything they have lobbied for. Why? Money!!!!That is their main concern...how much profit they can make...not to keep you well and in good health.I have a chronic lun disese and I have Medicare...,I don't have a supplement. With my illness I cannot afford the prices that Insurance Companies have for someone with pre-existing conditions. So, what do I do?? Just try to stay as healthy as I can is my only option unless I want an enormous debt from just one illness. It is past time for the people of America to wake up. We need leaders in Washington who will stand up to the big drug and insurance companies.Dr. Mongiardo understands the problems with our healthcare system better than anyone.Everyone should try to do everything they can to get him elected. He is for better healthcare for everyone. Let's send him to Washington to take our message with him.

William, you say if it wasn't for coal, Kentucky wouldn't have any manufaturing jobs. Our low electricity rates keep them here.

Say coal is the bridge to new biofuels, algae, solar, wind, and hydrogen technologies being created and improved upon every day. Very soon these will be viable alternatives to fossil fuels used today. Charleston WV just opened a hydrogen refueling station at Yeager Airport.

Say global temperatures have dropped 10 years in a row. Say Kentucky gets 92% of its electricity from coal. ... See More
Say the USA gets 53% of its electricity from coal.
Say what alternative energy source exists today to replace coal?

Say "thank you Daniel" for having the backbone to take a stand for Kentucky and its natural energy resources.
