N900: Juggling heavyweight tasks

The N900 isn't just capable of multi-tasking, it can juggle even the heaviest tasks. To prove it we open a flash-based website, an office doc and the music player and switch between each. Plus we perform a few other tasks that show the N900 behaving like a proper mobile computer.

Wish you had photo sync. If I add a file with a picture, the file will transfer fine, but the photo is blank. Evernote will do this, but I am leary of sensitive info going to evernote even if the notebook is private due to syncing with their server.

Peter G Kendrick Having gone from Palm to iPhone I am glad to have the app but I desperately need scrolling and bookmarks as I can no longer use long documents as it takes too long to get there. Apart from that it it very useful as I take notes, and work on documents on the go.

I didn't get one, and I won't be even if I do switch to Verizon. No local-only syncing (I refuse to sync/store my data in "the cloud") and... Google Ads on the device home screens? WTF up with that?

I didn't say that we were just playing 'wait and see'. You're right, that's not a good business model, and thats not what we're doing. Sure, we could slap something together and put out there to accomplish something close to what users are looking for, but we'd rather put the time in and find the best possible solution.

And, if during that time Apple solves the problem by opening things up, all the better....everyone wins.

Well that's good news, I know how much you guys cate about quality. And I know a Lot of users would not be pleased with the quickoffice solution because of its insecurity. I suggest looking at the app print and share however as they have come up with something that pleases everybody: an in-app POP/IMAP client. I'd assume that would take a lot of programming effort though and hence cost too much money to produce.

Steve Excel spreadsheets with passwords only open for Office '97 2003 versions and do not open for Office 2007 versions. Any chances this will change with an update? (iphone version)

Yup, that's fairly likely. We recently added that to BlackBerry, I'm sure it'll get to iPhone soon, just don't know exactly when.
