Yes I do abbreviated posts but people argue back with my own argument, call me a Christian, tell me the world is in peril from Global warming, the list goes on and on. It is not easy being one of the handful of people who believe the effects of Global warming are real but at the same time knowing Carbon Taxes and Ultimately Climate Change Summits ... Read Morewill fast track Global warming. As part of adding something positive it is also hard when there are so many people unaware of the effects of the little decisions City Councils and Governments make, especially knowing that North American's peculiarly pass laws which make us the living dead.

If energy needs are expected to double in twenty five years and individual countries administer their revenue from carbon Tax, than it is a win win situation for both green and carbon emitting industry. For some unknown reason such as Gloabalization for instance, the Military industrial complex no longer seems to serve as a model for economic gain, Carbon Taxation offers a new Industrial complex to lean on.

For those interested, the research on nutrient transfer from salmon to forests is the work of Tom Reimchen's lab (a bloody interesting scientist and interesting guy overall)....http://web.uvic.ca/~reimlab/salmonforest.html

By the way, Canada is one of the worst for this just because of the vast territory and few distribution points.

I believe that if we required and equal or greater than effort or display by any company to make a positive message anytime they are advertising or releasing a product then the world would fix itself real quick!:)

All those ads on billboards streetcars and subways would have way less negative impact and everyone would be happier if we required our... Read More government to pass a law making the advertiser pay for two spaces ... so they get their freedom to advertise but they are also required to be socially responsible by displaying a message of peace love compassion etc:)

As a matter of fact, John, I was not put off - I was impressed to see that DS personally donated OVER $100,000 last year, as did DSF co-founder, Tara Cullis.
As for Al Gore, my comments had nothing to do with him, nor Lawrence Solomon; they were purely in support of David Suzuki.

the residents are accounted for by their familiar pods,numbered by the dorsal fin and the transients are unknown from what I can recall from my last workshop I attended in Ottawa.
