Did you catch The Last Call, hosted by David Suzuki, when it aired originally on CBC Radio? If not, now’s your chance to catch it again on Monday, August 3rd at 12pm, or Sunday August 9th at 11am. Can’t tune into CBC radio during those times...

"Nothing will benefit human health and increase the chances for survival of life on Earth as much as the evolution to a vegetarian diet." - Albert Einstein -

I've been vegetarian for 21 years, with the very very occasional small piece of fish. The only people on the planet with protein deficiency are those who are literally starving to death. All... Read More flesh (fruit, vegetable, root, grain or nut) has protein in it. The human body is built primarily to digest vegetables, not meat. Our closest relative in nature are the apes, who are mostly vegetarian. Our health and that of our planet would do much better if there were more humans eating what they were built to eat. The only exception are people who live in the polar regions where most of the year the environment does not support a vegetarian diet. Highly recommended DVD:
"Eating, 2nd Edition" www.ravediet.com Please see the whole thing, it will be quite an eye opener!!!

David Suzuki Foundation Carbon Dioxide 101: When a fuel containing carbon gets combusted, each carbon atom combines with two oxygen atoms to form one molecule of carbon dioxide (CO2). Your car emits more CO2 than any other source, around 27,000 pounds per year. The next highest source of a family's carbon output is electric power. Follow the link for information on reducing your idling.

I always thought it was a little wierd in Canada (I am originally from another country) that only parties with the most local votes get to govern.

So almost a millions people who voted Green in the federal election have nobody to represent them in the Government.

It seems more logical to me, to give seats in the government based on the total number of votes a party receives, instead of only to those who win in their local area. This way, it will take forever to get more green seats in the federal government even though a million (!) Canadians feel this is the best party for them.... Read More

I'm not saying you should vote green, but it does seem unfair that a million people ahve no voice in the Federal government.

I've always voted Green. I would rather the NDP govern than the Liberals though. Having supposedly environmental organizations basically endorse a party like the BC Liberals really makes me sick. So I'm leaving this page. Good job Mr. Suzuki, you helped the Liberals retain power so they can continue to sell off our rivers, spend money on freeways ... Read Moreinstead of transit, end the prohibition on offshore drilling, allow raw log exports and weaken oversite of natural resource extraction, etc etc etc. I'll continue to support organizations who are against these things. Not yours. Bye bye.
