Yes, it's becoming embarrassing to be a Canadian -- I remember the years of self-deprecation, followed by some years of increasing self-esteem and international acknowledgement, which are increasingly shredded by the Conservative governments. I guess, as a country, we lost our nerve.

Terry, I agree. Learning to consume less AND not pollute is the key. We need to get involved at our community levels to ensure this happens.
I have two beautiful children and do feel lucky to live in Canada in some ways. However, right now, other governments are way ahead in the green game. My children are half Danish and I loved Denmark and its ... Read Morepeople when I got to visit there. Dr. Suzuki and Severn visited there, too.
In fact, after the Bali conference, I wanted to emigrate there because I was so embarassed to be Canadian!!
