Ah! The new year, a time for resolutions, reflections and, for a designer, the long awaited design and color trend projections.

At this time of year it seems appropriate to reflect on the last
twelve months. Let's face it, this year has been a tough one for many.
Despite the unstable climate of the past months, at Desert Rose we feel
very fortunate for many reasons.

Desert Rose Design has been selected as a 2009 honoree in The Business Ledger’s 10th annual Entrepreneurial Excellence Award (EEA) program.
The Entrepreneurial Excellence Awards were designed to recognize entrepreneurship in suburban Chicago, honoring individuals and organizations that have displayed the values of entr...epreneurship, foster the entrepreneurial spirit and encourage an atmosphere that promotes new ideas.
The EEA is divided into eight categories: Early Stage, Growth, Innovation, Lifetime Achievement, Minority Entrepreneur, Outstanding Service to Entrepreneurs, Regional Spirit and Young Entrepreneur. Overall, 19 companies were selected as honorees. Desert Rose Design received the award in the Growth category.
Along with recipients from their respective categories, Desert Rose Design was honored at a special awards ceremony on September 24, 2009 at the Danada House in Wheaton.
