I have nothing but the utmost respect for Bruce Tognazzini. His work on the Mac was groundbreaking, and Tog on Interface provides fascinating insights into the kinds of problems people had to solve at the dawn of the graphical user interface era.
DesignMap Inc. Meyer and Zeldman are fantastic at what they do, no doubt about it. But the marketing of this "Event Apart" really puts me off my lunch. If you're great and your speakers are great -- there really isn't any reason to tell me they are great... I will know and that's the kind of person you want at your "event apart" righ...t? Dial it back a 'lil bit.
