The Collingwood Neighbourhood House is getting ready for an extensive count of homeless in the Renfrew-Collingwood Neighbourhood. Since 2003 Collingwood Neighbourhood House has offered a weekly shower-and-breakfast program for those who are homeless or living in poverty. This count will provide important baseline infor...mation to help with planning for efficient and effective neighbourhood services as well as raise awareness about homelessness in the neighbourhood.
The Neighbourhood House is looking for volunteers to help with the count, which will take place on October 14, 2009 from 6-8 am in the area bordered by Broadway, Boundary Road, East 45th Avenue and Nanaimo Street.
