Straight up, Mattingly is being punished for playing for the YANKEES and never winning a title. If he had played for any other team, he would be in the Hall of Fame for sure. His numbers speak for themselves. Plain and simple, there are many in the Hall who's numbers don't match his. If championships are the criter...ia, then they need to take out Ty Cobb, Ted Williams, Ernie Banks, and quite a few others. Otherwise, they need to stop the hypocrisy and put Donnie Baseball in the Hall where he belongs. A Championship is a TEAM achievement. The Hall is for INDIVIDUAL achievement.Read More
