Drukpa Members of Young Drukpa Association (YDA) are in Nee, Nimo, Taru and Phyang, distributing gas cylinders and gas stoves today. Another group of YDA members have trekked to Markha valley where most accessible roads have been washed away, working out how much help is needed. Thank you YDA!

Drukpa After doing some surveys at various relief camps, we found out that the things most needed as of now is the gas supply, which is a controlled item which requires registration. So far none of the NGOs are supplying that due to the hassle of getting each household to register for the supplies. Live To Love decided to tak...e on that as we feel that the license for gas and the stove will benefit them in a long way, even after they have been relocated from the camp. On that day itself, we have distributed to a total of 34 families residing in that camp. We are also in the midst of ordering more for other villagers affected.

Drukpa Distribution of LPG gas cylinders will start taking place tomorrow.

Drukpa Writing from the relief center in Leh: Department of conservation & forestry confirmed with us that the casualties caused by mudslides were mainly due to a lack of vegetation that stopped the mudslides and water from washing away homes, humans and beings. Tree planting is very important. At present, only 0.0006% of Lad...akh's 97,000 sq km of area is covered by vegetation, insufficient to be a cause of climate change.

Drukpa Some prominent coverage in Times of India of our nuns who have done stupendous job in the relief operations in leh
