We tried the Republican approach to North Korea for eight years. It failed. There was no improvement in human rights in North Korea, China hardened its position, North Korea tested and deployed nuclear weapons and worked to spread nuclear technology to countries like Burma and Syria.

The Republicans have no new ideas (at least in this article) ... Read Moreand their old ideas failed. It would be foolish to continue with the same policy and ideas and expect different results. Its time for the Republicans to admit their ideas failed and give another approach a chance.

Ed, its clear that Iran is arming Syria and the Hezbollah to attack Israel when Israel is forced to take out the Iranian Nuclear facilitys. Thus making a two or three front war for Israel to consider when it goes in. To Israeli's its 1938. Then the question will be - Where will America stand in support of Israel? Ed Royce Good news. On Friday, I posted ("No Turkish Delight") that wanted-for-war crimes Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir was set to visit the pivotal nation of Turkey today. Yesterday, news broke that Bashir wouldn't attend after all, having to stay home to tend to - snicker - "election laws."

The big issue is still lack of enforcement of the laws we already have. Even if they "require individuals to verify their citizenship and identity", can we expect hospitals to enforce the laws that even police ignore?

Ed, such doom and gloom on health care reform. I would like to use Canada as a role model but they have their flaws as well. It appears that the Dems are pushing hard and fast. You need to slow this process down and help build a solid and affordable health care system for all including the 45 million uninsured. Keep up the good work!!
