  4. To celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee our chimpanzees received some extra special treats this morning in union jack and crown themed sacks.

    We also have jubilee arts and craft activities taking place tomorrow (5 June) in Budongo Trail between 11am and 3pm. http://www.edinburghzoo.org.uk/whatson/events_articles/event_176.html

  6. As from Friday, we are going to swap the panda cams over. Soon you will be able to enjoy Tian Tian’s antics on our website. Yang Guang will still be available for viewing - but exclusively through our Members Portal. If you want to keep watching him, then it’s easy.   7. Thanks to Glasgow Airport who have donated lots of old fire hose to Edinburgh Zoo. Our blacksmith JR is pictured here fashioning some new 'animal hammocks' out of the material which you will be able to see in enclosures such as the pandas, ...sun bears and primates over the coming weeks.   9. Don’t miss Messy Play today (30 May) in Budongo Trail from 11am – 3pm as part of our pre-school events. Suitable for ages 6 months to 5 years.

    Plus our soft play area will be open in the Jungle Food Court from 10am till 3pm.
