Greetings and welcome!
This is different from your typical networking event where people walk around with a fist full of cards handing them out. It's more of a "networking laboratory."
It is organized and hosted Diane Darling. I am an author, entrepreneur, bl...ogger, columnist, speaker, and more.
I welcome you to join us at Legal Sea Foods in Copley Place. Note: It's a different location from the one in the Prudential Center.
It's called "Drinks Above Tiffanys" because we are literally ... above Tiffanys.
The spirit behind this group is for low-key, casual networking. Each month I share a few networking tips and we do an exercise where you introduce someone you've recently met.
Why introduce someone you've met vs. yourself? GREAT question!
You are just one person - you can only be in one place at a time. If you have "ambassadors" who can be your eyes and ears, then there are many others who can help you.
It's pretty low-key so if you want to add something to the introduction yourself, that's fine too. It's a great way to learn what people hear you say ... or interpret what you say.
We gather ~ 5:15 pm and have casual networking. Then we have a networking exercise. More details are available in the description.

This group is dedicated to fun, friendly Midwesterners who now live in New England. Come and meet local ex-Midwesterners and relive great memories about the wholesome charm of middle America. This group is open to anyone who is from/or has lived in Illino...is, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
My other home states included Colorado, Alabama and Washington DC. You are welcome as well.
Also expatriates are welcome since I lived outside the U.S. several times.
Bottom line - this group is for friendly people who want to meet other friendly people. It's primary purpose in social, having fun, and meeting other like-minded folks.
If you end up getting a business lead, job, date, whatever, that's fine. Just appreciate this is relaxed and easy going group.
If you're from Boston but attended university in the Midwest, you are more than welcome!
