Five athletes were selected to represent England in the IAU 50km Trophy Final held in Gibraltar. This year's race took place on a relatively hilly course on a 1 x 2km loop followed by 6 X 8 km loops, and was one of the rare opportunities where several fast 50kers from around the world have all assembled at a world event.
