FibroHaven Nothing stays the same, not even the rocks and the mountains, which rain, snow, and rivers sculpt over time. Each day, millions of your body’s cells die while millions more are born. Stasis is an illusion our egos create to fend off the fear of change.

FibroHaven Member Lisa Bates posted a great question on our FibroHaven page. I too am interested in your replies. My new puppy is very enthusiastic! Lisa: "Question for my fibro friends with pets: How do you get your beloved pet to STOP unintentionally hurting you? I know he doesn't mean it, and he's a good boy, but several times... a day he jumps on and off me and always manages to hit one of those "tender points" we have."

FibroHaven I have missed you! Started working again after focusing solely on FibroHaven the past 18 months. I forgot what a commitment a full time job is. I am fortunate that my health has improved enough for me to go back to work, and plan to do everything possible to sustain it - yoga, meditation, diet, positive thinking, and y...es, an occasional pain killer. Once I get into a routine I will begin posting more regularly again. In the meantime WHAT IS NEW WITH YOU? Share please! I really have missed you. :)

Fibro Cfs beautiful page and cause, that we also share ourselves. You give us inspiration and ideas. May you tell us how to make the year you were founded visible in this kind of FACEBOOK page? we founded our own site on 2001 and since we are new at Facebook, we would appreciate this small yet important tip! Could you assist us with this question please?

FibroHaven The Fibromyalgia Network invites you to participate in a survey to help us identify some of your best coping strategies that deal with overcoming these feelings of isolation or being alone with your illness. Members have told us they enjoy sharing their tips and have benefitted from the suggestions of others in these M...ember surveys. We want to know what you do to keep yourself going. Your helpful input can lead to useful ideas for many other patients. Your suggestions don’t have to be expensive or grand—sometimes it’s the little things that pull us through. We realize not all of the questions will pertain to your situation, but please help us by completing the questionnaire.

Did you nourish yourself today? I did by attending my favorite yoga class at 4PM. I don't always take the time for myself though. Some days I knowingly let 4PM come and go, and then look at the clock and mutter "Guess I am not going to yoga today." I feel so much better on the days that I go.
What nourishes you? Laughte...r? Spinach? A gentle walk with your dog? A phone conversation with the one person that just gets you? Music? Reading? Share what nourishes you. And let's honor ourselves by making sure we do at least one nourishing thing tomorrow. We deserve it!

FibroHaven Certain chemicals in the foods Fibromyalgia patients eat may trigger the release of neurotransmitters that heighten pain sensitivity, Dr. Arkfeld explains. Because of this, fibromyalgia patients often have food sensitivities that may not show up in food allergy tests.

FibroHaven Do you watch Brothers and Sisters? One of my favorite shows. I just watched this past Sunday's episode and one of the brothers Justin (who is a first year med student) just told his girlfriend he is concerned about her unexplained muscle pain: "It could be Fibromyalgia." We are so mainstream now! Do you really think th...ey are teaching first year med students about FM? We can only hope!

FibroHaven The widespread off-label promotion of drugs is yet another manifestation of a health-care system that has become dysfunctional. Big Pharma can easily pay their 7 billion in fines and still continue their unlawful marketing because they are making a gross amount of money off our chronically ill culture with unethical ma...rketing practices. I'm not swallowing what they are pushing!
