Fiesta really is one of America's truly great festivals. It began as a way to honor the memory of the heroes of the Alamo and the Battle of San Jacinto. For over 100 years Fiesta celebrates the diversity and culture of San Antonio.

President Mary Begia. She was president elect for 2009 and has served in previous officer positions. She is a past president of the Miss Fiesta San Antonio Scholarship Pageant.

Fiesta San Antonio Who will be the next Rey Feo? Come meet two candidates at a news conference Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Fiesta Commission office, 2611 Broadway. They'll compete in the next few months to raise scholarship funds. The man with the most will be Rey Feo for 2010. The runner up will reign in 2011. LULAC Council No. 2 and the Rey Feo Scholarship Committee are presiding over the announcement.

Just came back to Michigan from my first Fiesta! Was a real great event...too crowded at the Market Square but I enjoyed the night time parade...the Riverwalk was awesome and so were the Margaritas! Going next year!
