Craft time can be just as fun in the kitchen with this candy snowman and igloo project. See how to make a wintery scene with your kids using edible ingredients like marshmallows, frosting, sugar cubes, and coconut.

I would like to try something new; painting in acrylics with the kids....maybe grades 7 and up? I'm thinking about still life paintings. It would pretty much need to be a 2 hour block, however. It would be almost impossible to teach this type of class in one hour. I think it would be alot of fun to teach this if there were kids who were really ... See Moreintersted in this. I usually paint in oils, but think acrylics might be best for the kids; clean up is easier and drying time is faster....but if kids want to learn oil painting, I'd do that! :)

My kids' idea of the most successful: fun, messy, and creative classes and if they learn something it's a Bonus!

Now that I have the hang of teaching, I enjoy taking subjects that kids might find boring and turning them into something fun. This session I plan to teach a literature/creative writing class for boys. My husband (first time teaching!!) wants to teach a Playdoh Economics class, where the kids will learn basic economics through their own clay creations. It's gonna be a blast!
