My husband Tom and I recently bought a book for our 3 year old grandniece, Bella. It is Brother Wolf, Sister Sparrow: Stories About Saints and Animals, retold by Eric A. Kimmel. It uses Butlers Life of the Saints as a source. It is beautifully illustrated by John Winch. Of course I am not the tiniest bit prejudice,... but Bella, who is also our goddaughter, is special. On the day of her baptism most of the other babies cried when the priest poured water over their foreheads. Bella smiled!!!! Anyway, this book is beautiful, and we can't wait to read it to Bella. We live on one coast, she on the other, but she and her daddy and mommy will be with us for Christmas. Hooray for goddaughters and saints!!!Read More
