What I can see of the new front page is looking good, but taking 10 years to load all the components - don't have that problem with other sites I've just went to - maybe a way you can make it load quicker/use less memory on people's machines?

Yes, it does load faster after the first visit. We are looking into how to make it load more quickly for first-time visitors though. Most likely that will mean taking some images out of the slideshow. Thanks for the feedback!

Every once and a while I have a dream that I return back to live in the KDR house and use up my last year of eligibility playing soccer. I guess I must have really enjoyed myself back in the early 90's at old Franklin College.

Franklin College will kick off a yearlong celebration marking its 175th anniversary with a birthday bash on Friday, June 5 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Dietz Center for Professional Development. The event is free and open to the public.

The event will include a Ben Franklin impersonator, a free gift for all who attend..., live music, photos with Ben, historic displays, cake and punch, and opportunities to win door prizes donated by community partners.

Many events and activities will take place on campus throughout the 2009-10 school year, including lectures by prominent speakers and special events. More information about the yearlong plans will be announced at the June 5 event.
