Franklin Inn Mexican Restaurant Chilquilles—A baked casserole made with delicious layers of chorizo (an exclusive spicy Mexican hot sausage made just for the Inn), sour cream, Jack cheese and tomato sauce. It’s kinda like a Mexican Lasagna. You can order it this weekend at the Inn.

Franklin Inn Mexican Restaurant Have you ever had our jalapeno pop corn? I stopped by the Inn after attending the kids' halloween parade at school and Karen had just finished making it! Yum! If you want a switch from the chips, try the jalapeno pop corn. It goes fast so hurry in!

At least 25 years ago, I was told by a client that the Franklin Inn was the only restaurant in the Pittsburgh area that served "real" Mexican food. A friend who had relocated from California and I made the trip across town on a cold winter night - it was fantastic! My interest was renewed recently, and this will be our... second visit in 2 months! Can't wait to try the Chocolate Chile Ice Cream tonight - a great reason to make the trip from South Fayette Township.Read More
