The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice

The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice The annual Educational Choice Charitable Trust Dinner is always a great opportunity to see exactly what kind of impact school choice can have. The event also includes videos featuring teachers and students from a number of t...he local private schools that benefit from Choice's scholarships.

This year's speakers included Gov. Daniels, State Superintendent Tony Bennet, and local business leader Fred Klipsch. The MC was local talk radio host, Greg Garrison.

The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice 57% of Virginia voters say they favor vouchers. The newest entry in our Survey in the State series finds that there is broad support for many forms of school choice in the Old Dominion that reaches across party lines.

This study was released today by the Friedman Foundation and a diverse group of twenty other state and... national education, business, religious and policy organizations. To read the complete study or to look at any of our many other research pieces, follow the link below.

I went to a Virginia charter school -- in the Old Dominion they are called "Governor's Schools" -- and loved every minute of it. Much like the better private schools, the pace of learning was much faster and the covered material went much deeper than the "surface knowledge" that is so commonly taught in regular public schools.

The U.S. is falling... See More behind many countries in science, math, and technology learning... and that can only be bad for our national economy in the 21st century.

Something has to change about our school system, and that change has to provide ALL students with equal opportunity to attend more efficient schools... thus, Mr. Freeman's view is the exact opposite way to go, IMO. The brilliant yet poor kids would never reach their potential without gov't funding for education. "Survival of the fittest" should begin at age 18, not in pre-school.

The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice As governor, Jeb Bush helped bring sweeping reform to his state's K-12 education programs. In the ten years since he took office, test scores have risen dramatically.

A new study by the Friedman Foundation examines the impact of those reforms and suggests how they could be replicated in Indiana.

Jeb Bush campaigned for Governor on a clear and bracing set of education reforms in 1998. Having won office, he immediately pursued a dual track strategy of education reform: standards and accountability for public schools, choice options for dissatisfied parents. ...

The Friedman Foundation for Educational Choice Today, our dear friend and founder Dr. Rose D. Friedman passed away. We are tremendously saddened by the loss of one of the world’s true free-market champions. Her work helped shape the modern free market movement. Rose stood firmly for individual choice and firmly against government control. Her impact will be forever remembered.
