Amtrak - train route - Capitol Limited (Chicago to DC) - Stops in Pittsburgh, PA; Connellsville, PA; and Cumberland, MD. Bicycles in boxes as checked baggage are allowed on and off only at Pittsburgh. Folding bicycles as carry on baggage are allowed at all stops.

Port Authority of Allegheny County - bus route - 56C (McKeesport-Lincoln Place) - Stops in Downtown Pittsburgh and near the McKeesport Trail Access. Two bicycles are allowed on the bus racks.
