Don't get upset when someone tells you "no" or even worse, they ignore you. This upset my daughter so much her first year. She didn't understand how some people could just ignore her. Now she's a 5th grade Junior and is a 1000 box seller. For every "no" there are 5 more "yeses" out there.

Using good manners and dressing appropriately goes a long way toward motivating people to support Scouting, especially in our community where we have many retirees. If someone says no thanks, be sure to tell them to have a nice evening or whatever is appropriate.

1.Utilize your samples-They are they absolute best way to motivate buyers to take the boxes you have left at the end of the sale.
2. Inform your seller of WHY you're selling. Make posters or banners with pictures of troop activites. If you're fundraising for something, tell people that! Incorporate it into your initial question. "Would you like to help troop ____ raise money to go to _______?" Having a CLEAR reason for selling makes all the difference to people on the fence. :)
