From Dr. Edmund Cairns Doctor’s Bag to a model of Fort Whoop-Up created by Dora Graham, from James Stewart’s Highland Costume Set to insecticide pads “Sure Death For Flies and Ants” dating back to the 1930s, we are accepting bids on these and 18 other artifacts for symbolic adoption at the Adopt-an-Artifact website acc...essible from www.galtmuseum.com!
The successful bidder will receive a photo and description of their adopted artifact, a tax receipt for the value of their sponsorship, and an invitation to a Curator-led Behind-the-Scenes Collections Tour in 2010. Calling all moviegoers….This intercom phone was installed in the projectionist room at the Paramount Theatre, and allowed the user to connect with various locations in the theatre.The phone features six off-white buttons for areas throughout the theatre, and was made in Western Germany.

Galt Museum & Archives What an amazing morning....in the first half hour that we were open, Jeddy from Lethbridge Web Design walked in and told us that after seeing a staff member's tweet last night about needing an auction website for our upcoming Adopt an Artifact fundraiser, he stayed up all night creating it for us!
