For SF serious windows, insulation, weather stripping & caulking... all good steps for a start. Lighting now can be LED not just CFL. With Pacific Energy Center right in town and easy access to good ideas, the funding should move initiatives forward. Right Lights locally now accepts Induction lighting as right app in certain cases such as parking lots.
Thanks for the support!

Gavin, you did great holding up your own against Bill. He just wanted you to admit that the democrats in Sacramento are responsible for CA being bankrupt. Though I don't live there, but seems like you are doing a fantastic job in San Francisco.

offer retirement packages for teachers, flight attendants, gubment workers.... we need some movement. States should offer the retiree and the new hire a deal: give them both a huge tax break if they both agree to live and work in the state for 10 years and open up some of these jobs. States win, retirees win, and new hires all win.

Gavin Newsom Open source becomes policy in San Francisco to save money and spur innovation. Just the beginning of the Open Gov movement.

bit.ly
San Francisco’s new policy requires city departments to consider open source software equally with commercial products when purchasing new software. The opportunities with open source are tremendous: lower costs, greater agility, better reliability, improved security, and increased innovation.
