Beggars? Is that what the Mayor and his groupies refer to the needy as. Steve I am grieved you would be treated that way, you should have been treated respectfully. If you were not then you should have gone to that person's supervisor. If that does not work, feed back positive and negative should be welcomed by the Mayor's office and I'd include that person's name. I am not in SF but have had to use Healthy Families, etc. and never was treated like a criminal for being in a bad place.

Patricia: "Quality"? Not quite. If you're over 21, the only dental care covered is extractions. How does that count as "quality"? In you're incarcerated in the state of California, you receive better dental and medical than you do if you're a law abiding citizen who simply can't afford private insurance. Yup, that's some high "quality" care.

Oh, and once you put something in the trash, anyone has the right to go thru it...this is nothing new. It becomes public once in the trashcan. There was a Supreme Court case on this a long time ago. So, to the commenter that made the remark about City inspectors now having the right to go through the trash, basically anyone has this right, once you put garbage in a can on the street.
