In past years, UAT students have attended several conferences. Here is a look at a few conferences for 2010 students might attend.
Game Developers Conference - San Francisco, CA March 9-13
Early Registration (heavily discounted passes) closes on February 4, 2010. Get your passes early so you can save as much as $500. Student Volunteer Applications are being accepted until January 14, 2010. Volunteers work 20 hours and receive full access pass for free. Read details on the website.
Photoshop World Conference - Orlando, FL March 24-26, 2010
Early Registration ends February 26, 2010. Student Tickets are discounted heavily.
SIGGRAPH - Los Angeles, CA July 25-29, 2010
Student Volunteer Applications are being accepted until February 15, 2010. Volunteers work 18 or 30 hours and receive a full pass. Those who volunteer 30 hours can apply for complementary housing and travel assistance.
ComicCon - San Diego, CA July 22-25, 2010
All 4-Day Passes have been sold out. One day passes open on December 15th for sale, so hurry and get yours while you still can!

On Friday, December 4th at 3:30pm there will be a Balsa wood building challenge in the quad.
Prizes:
1st - Flip Mino, Canon PowerShot 10.0-Megapixel Digital Camera & iPod nano 8g
2nd - $50 Gift Card per person to Best Buy
On Wednesday, December 9th there will be an Academic Decathlon. Times and Locations will be announced after the Student Government Meeting in the Theater.
Prizes:
1st - One HD Zune per person
2nd - $50 Gift Card per person to Target
There is a Writing Challenge with submission due by Wednesday December 9th at 11:59pm MST. See the intranet for the writing prompt. Winners will be announced on December 11th at 3:30pm in the Theater

2nd - $50 Gift card to Best Buy
