Northrop Grumman Foundation Weightless Flights of Discovery Now that you’ve been in school for a few weeks following your weightless flight experience, how many of you have shared your personal photos and video with your students? How did they react to your “lesson in weightlessness”?

I created a video using the photos. The students loved it! I found it was an excellent introduction to get the kids thinking about how life would be living in the reduction of gravity. One of my experiments involved weighing our school's mascot at the different forces. Then I had the students calculate their own weight at different forces. We ... See Morelooked at their daily activities and discussed how those activities would change when gravity was reduced. I believe NASA's goal is to have some sort of station on the moon by 2020 and I wanted to plant the seed of the possibility of THEM living on the moon...or the space station! Check out the video!
