Goethe-Institut Washington German director Michael Verhoeven, for over 40 years a unique and unwavering voice for truth in post-war Germany, will be in Washington next week to accept the 2009 Visionary Award from the Washington Jewish Film Festival. He'll visit the Goethe-Institut next Monday for a lunchtime conversation as part of their Daytime... Docs series. Several of his films - and other German films - screen during the festival.
