Emory University Goizueta Business School is continuing to count down to the 90th Celebration on December 2. Did you know that in 1958, the school launched an Advanced Management Program for upper-level executives, a six-week course held every winter at Sea Island, GA, that featured faculty from Harvard, MIT, Emory, and other universities? The program lasted f...or nearly three decades and won the business school national recognition. Join us on December 2 at the High Museum for the celebration!

Emory University Goizueta Business School is continuing to count down to the 90th Celebration on December 2 with “Did You Know?”- Fun Facts about GBS over the decades. Did you know that in 1945 Walter H. Rich, the president of the Rich Foundation donated $250,000 and pledged $100,000 more for the construction of a building for the business school. The buildin...g was named the Rich Memorial Building in memory of the 3 brothers who had founded Rich’s Department Store in 1867.

Emory University Goizueta Business School Did you know that in 1932, during the Great Depression, faculty and staff salaries were cut between five and eleven percent. By 1937, the school was able to restore faculty and staff salaries to pre-Depression levels.
