99.9% of the world's top scientists accept evolution as fact and there is no controversy within the scientific arena and this includes Christian scientists. The Bible is not a science text as the scientific method was unknown in biblical times. Science seeks to describe, explain, and predict. The Bible tries to tell the purpose of creation and to point the way to morality, righteousness, and salvation. It should not be surprising that their methods are different and even incompatible.

People such as Kent Hovind, Ken Ham, Ray Comfort, the entire staff of "The Discovery Institute" are NOT true scientists in any sense. Kent Hovind was imprisoned for tax fraud, not for his valiant stance on creationism. Hovind's views are criticized by the scientific community at large and his lame attempts at disproving evolution only sound plausible to those who don't understand science due to a limited education on the subject. The theory has stood for 150 years and the evidence only continues to mount. The discovery of DNA greatly added to the credibility of evolution. After mapping the human and chimpanzee genome there is only a mere %2 difference between species, move farther away from our common descent and the differences within DNA grow accordingly.

I have read and enjoyed most of The Good News publications but when it comes to the "well researched booklets" on the subject of evolution, it's science fact mixed with pseudo-science and I can provide peer-reviewed evidence to prove it. I don't have questions; I'm politely refuting your claims.

Charles Darwin was responsible for one of the greatest discoveries in modern science and to vilify him for it is slanderous; you may as well have painted a mustache on the Mona Lisa. Just as the church exonerated Galileo the same will happen with Darwin as the evidence will become so overwhelming that people who continue to refute it will seem as disillusioned as flat-Earth theorists seem today.

The creation-evolution debate has sapped vital energy from the Christian community. Instead of building the kingdom of God, it has been both destructive to the unity of the body of Christ and a distraction from its God-given mission. That mission is to live as God's image bearers, exercising stewardship over His creation, and proclaiming His message of reconciliation to the world.

Is The Good News for creationist Christians only? Does my alternate stance on evolution mean I'm not welcome here?

In this fallen world we do grow and develop, and is indeed evolution to the true meaning of the word. But Darwinism is not evolution.

Not only is the concept of evolution false which can be proven but most ppl idea and concept of God is false....It we believe in evolution it simply mean this life long or short is all their is, There is no afterlife. If on the other hand we believe after death we go to heaven if we were good and not hell that idea is also false and can be proven ... Ho Ho Halloween = Ignorance and vanity.

I wonder why Christian churches celebrate harvest festival right before halloween, and give candies? I did go every year and this year but after I read the true meaning of halloween, and affiliated with the "fall festival" I felt condemn, and to see that the children were dress on this day? umm we called ourselves Christians!!! Surely, I will not be a part of this again...God is opening my eyes...Thank you Jesus...
