Tom Here's what I posted on my page: just read a great book of poems: _Stupid Hope_ (Graywolf P, 2009) by Jason Shinder, who has passed away. Damn it. He's a great poet who can give us no more poems. The book gets deeper and deeper as you experience a man and his mom dying of cancer and all the surrounding emotions. It's o...verwhelming. http://www.amazon.com/Stupid-Hope-Poems-Jason-Shinder/dp/155597533X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1253149421&sr=8-1

And for you poets, it seems to be written under the emotional, empathetic, and sentimental shadow of Allen Ginsberg's "Kaddish" and "To Aunt Rose". The poetry is not like Ginsberg's, but it is sincere like those two poems and like Ginsberg ... and then some.

Actually, "WE'RE" crossing the river, not "WE'VE." Our editors would be disappointed.
