Guildcraft Carpets Is anyone but me frustrated by the new "community pages" on Facebook? The idea has potential, but the implementation is really a problem. (For example, the Arts and Crafts Movement community page seems to only pick up posts and status updates that actually use that complete phrase - regardless of the context in which ...it appears; and doesn't pick up relevant posts by people or organizations that focus on the Arts & Crafts movement!)

Guildcraft Carpets Another auction update - an antique Donegal carpet, attributed to C.F.A. Voysey, was hammered down at more than twice its estimate at Sotheby's a couple of weeks ago. The coloration is attractive, but the carpet has been compromised (cut/possibly reduced in size), which makes this even more surprising. But Donegals have always been terrific decorative carpets.

Guildcraft Carpets Today we're doing the last bit of analysis and photography of the historic carpet we're reproducing for a private client in NY. Rug is large and hard to photograph properly but I'd like to post a pic if possible.
