I've helped via Hammer in Hand on a few houses and can say it is always time well spent and you will be delighted to discover abilities you might not have known you had!
One of my favorite moments was when I was hammering in the highest nail on the roof after overcoming a bit of height fright. I was proud of my little ...triumph until I noted a nail on the other side going in 1/2 inch higher than mine. It was by the hand of the soon to be new home owner! I was even more proud of that moment!

Diane Semlies Marotta I volunteered for the first time about 3 weeks ago and I loved it. I met wonderful people and felt so happy to give a hand up

Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County Three days at Shady Grove and we have walls and trusses. What a crew! Check out the pics of the site and one of the families.

Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County The Piard family drops by for the first day of "flying the walls" at Shady Grove in Dunedin. That means the two-story wall sections were being placed on the foundation by crane. Pretty cool to watch.
