@Don I think you hit the nail squarely on the head. We don't want to spend equal to what we are already spending which is unsustainable.

With structural adjustments, we can spend considerably less per capita on health care than we do now and achieve universal coverage.

What a travesty to live in a society that doesn't have a system in place to dedicate resources for basic, universal, permanent, portable, quality health care.

We hear so little about the need to separate health coverage from employment. That is the key to effective, affordable health care.

Follow the money. There is no reason the VA should be underfunded.

I totally agree. They know it is the best option though and that's why they don't want to discuss it.

All the facts need to come out. The senate has abandoned lengthy discussion for the convenience of the supermajority. these things are all worked out prior to reaching the public forum.
